Motorola Reveals List Of Devices That Will Get Android Marshmallow OS Upgrade

It’s no longer news that android Marshmallow has been launched. Although the OS is available on nexus latest devices, roll out is expected to begin from the 5th of October.

Following the new android OS, device manufacturers are expected to announce their list of device that will be getting the new android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

HTC was quite prompt to releasing their list of devices that will be getting the new OS update. As a matter of fact, the list was released same day the new OS was announced. Although Samsung revealed their list before the OS was officially launched, we cannot say whether or not, there will be any alteration. Interestingly, Motorola has followed suit as the OEM has revealed its list of devices that will be getting the update.

Here are the list of Motorola devices getting the Marshmallow OS update:

¶ 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd gen)
¶ 2015 Moto X Style (3rd gen)
¶ 2015 Moto X Play
¶ 2015 Moto G (3rd gen)
¶ 2014 Moto X Pure Edition in the US (2nd gen)
¶ 2014 Moto X in Latin America,
¶ Europe and Asia2 (2nd gen)
¶ 2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE2 (2nd gen)
¶ DROID Turbo
¶ 2014 Moto MAXX
¶ 2014 Moto Turbo
¶ Nexus 6

Although the second generation Moto E and the Moto X are devices less than a year old, its rather quite disappointing to see that both devices won’t be getting the update. No specific date nor period was stated as to when these devices will be getting the update. Instead, the company stated saying ‘As for timing, we have high standards, so we’ll work fast but we won’t push the upgrades out until we know they’re ready’.

However, if you happen to own any of the Motorola devices stated above, lucky you! Point is, sooner or later, you’d be getting it hence, your ticket is safe.
